Experience Light and Shadow: Bobby Izquierdo’s Fine Art Photography Exhibit at 79°West Mosaic

The Chatham Artists Guild, in an exclusive partnership with the 79° West Innovation Hub at 120 Mosaic Blvd, Pittsboro, NC, is showcasing 2D artwork, such as paintings and photography, on a rotating quarterly basis. This unique collaboration brings you a curated selection of art, with the potential inclusion of 3D artwork, such as sculptures and ceramics, currently under consideration by the Board.

Patricia Martin, a fine art painter, and myself are the artists on display for the months of January through March. If you haven’t been to 70° West, it’s a massive space, 22,000 sq ft workspace, meaning there’s much wall space to cover. Fortunately, we had enough art to cover the space. I have 18 pieces on display: 9 are limited edition prints, 2 20×24, three 18×24, and 4 16×20; 6 are 16×20 open editions, and 2 are large prints that are 24×36 and 30×40 mounted on Gatorboard hanging in the second-floor lobby and conference room.

If you haven’t been to 70° West, it’s a great place to go and work if you have a small business; they have a monthly breakfast meeting where you can network and other events, so check out their calendar. Of course, you can visit to see our artwork, which I hope you do. Patricia is a wonderfully talented artist, and you shouldn’t miss it. If you want to see our artwork, go to the front desk and say that you want to see the Chatham Artist Guild artwork, and they’ll let you in. Their staff is very friendly. Hope to see you there!

Edward Hopper’s New York

As someone who has always been fascinated by light, architecture, and quiet spaces, I recently revisited the book *Edward Hopper’s New York*, published by the Whitney Museum of American Art. This book is more than just a catalog of Hopper’s work; it offers a deep exploration of how New York City influenced his artistic vision and, in turn, how he reshaped our perception of the modern city.
