I visited a gallery called Through This Lens in downtown Durham, North Carolina, to buy museum glass for a print I recently framed. While there, I noticed a vintage Polaroid camera with leopard skin on a stool. I asked the owner, Roylee Duval if he would lend it to me for light painting, and he kindly agreed. I used the flash unit and light meter from my wife’s uncle’s camera to light paint this model of a Polaroid camera, which did not have such bold skin. I then removed many dust spots on the baffle using the Dust & Scratches layer and cleaned up the remaining spots using the Retouching layer. I also repaired the leather light meter case and the light meter. The resulting composition was named “Polaroid Land Camera Leopard.”
