London Photography Awards — Three Still Life Recognitions
I’m honored to share that three of my still life light paintings earned recognition in the 2026 London Photography Awards, Still Life category:
- Gold — End of an Era: The Cathode Ray Tube
- Honorable Mention — 71 Seconds to Midnight
- Honorable Mention — Midnight Cuban Diaries
These three works are among the most personally meaningful in my practice. Each one grew from extended-exposure light painting around objects that carry memory, obsolescence, and the quiet weight of time. Seeing all three recognized together feels significant.
This year, the competition received over 4,000 entries from more than 30 countries. That turnout reflects the continued reach and relevance of the award among both established professionals and emerging photographers. The jury recognized winning entries across a wide range of disciplines — fine art, architecture, editorial, commercial, nature, and people photography, among others.
Thank you to the jurors and to everyone who has followed this work.
Prints are available at the Pittsboro Gallery of Arts.
